Asset Engineer Water and Wastewater

About the role

Water is one of our community's most essential services, and we're looking for an experienced Asset Engineer to help shape how we plan, manage and invest in the infrastructure that supports our growing region.

As a newly created role within our expanding Water Services team, this is an exciting opportunity to influence the future of critical water and wastewater infrastructure across the Coffs Coast. You'll play a key role in strategic asset management, long-term planning, infrastructure investment and network performance, helping ensure our assets continue to deliver reliable and sustainable services for the community.

Working alongside passionate professionals, you'll use data, engineering expertise and innovative thinking to improve the performance and resilience of our water, wastewater and recycled water networks. From developing asset management strategies and renewal programs through to analysing asset risk and investment priorities, you'll help ensure our infrastructure continues to deliver value for the community. As a newly created role, you'll have the opportunity to influence how we manage our assets, strengthen decision-making and contribute to the continued growth of the Water Services team.

About you

You are a qualified engineering professional with experience in water and wastewater asset management or a related infrastructure field. You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in infrastructure planning or asset management, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to a range of stakeholders. A tertiary qualification in engineering (or a related discipline) and a current Class C Driver Licence are essential.

  • Competitive Salary from $114,518.88 to 120,546.19 p/a depending on your capabilities and experience + 12% superannuation
  • This position attracts an additional 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance
  • An enhanced salary package may be available for an outstanding candidate
  • Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week
