About the role
As a Bush Regenerator with the City of Coffs Harbour, you'll play a hands‑on role in restoring and maintaining the region's unique bushland and natural assets. Working alongside the Bush Regeneration Officer, you'll support conservation programs, guide community volunteers, and deliver on-ground regeneration, weed control and habitat restoration. You'll assist with planning, reporting and implementing regeneration strategies while ensuring safe, efficient and environmentally responsible work practices.
This outdoor, practical role is perfect for someone who thrives in nature and enjoys meaningful, community‑focused work.
About you
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic bushland professional with a Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management (or willingness to obtain) and several years of hands-on bush regeneration experience.
You bring solid knowledge of native flora, weed identification and control methods, herbicide application, and the practical use of tools and equipment in the field. You're confident working independently, liaising with volunteers, and providing clear technical guidance.
Physically fit, safety-focused, and committed to environmental sustainability, you'll take pride in improving local ecosystems while representing the City with professionalism and community spirit.
