About the role
The Development Engineer will be an integral member of a newly rebuilt Development Assessment Team, committed to achieving high performance and excellence in development engineering. Collaborating closely with industry partners, the role is responsible for delivering quality development outcomes and providing expert guidance to all stakeholders on development and subdivision matters under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Regulations. A strong customer focus is central to the position, as is working jointly with colleagues to ensure prompt, reliable and customer-centric service. The role also supports enhancement of digital lodgement, assessment, approvals and inspection systems, and contributes to developing outcome-driven, customer-connected processes within the team.

About you
You have strong development engineering experience supported by a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. You're confident with understanding and applying the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 to development assessments. You hold a current White Card and Class C Driver's Licence, and you're comfortable working with technical documentation and compliance requirements. You communicate clearly, collaborate well within a team and build positive relationships with stakeholders. You're proficient with digital systems, have solid computer skills and manage your time effectively in a busy environment. Experience in Local Government is an advantage.

- Competitive Salary around $115, 909.79 depending on your capabilities and experience + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance + 12% superannuation
