Meter Reader
- Love being on the move? Prefer fresh air over fluorescent lights?
- Be part of delivering an essential service to the Coffs Coast community
- Work independently while being supported by a collaborative team
About the role
Forget being stuck behind a desk all day!
As a Meter Reader, you'll enjoy the best of both worlds, spending much of your time out in the community while remaining connected to a supportive team environment.
You'll play a vital role in delivering an essential service by conducting scheduled water meter readings across the City, maintaining accurate records, identifying maintenance issues and assisting with customer enquiries. Alongside your field-based work, you'll also spend time in the office updating systems, supporting billing processes and collaborating with colleagues to deliver great outcomes for our community. No two days are quite the same, offering a rewarding mix of independence, customer interaction and team connection.
Please refer to the Position Description for a more detailed understanding of the role.
About you
You're someone who enjoys a role with variety and takes pride in a job well done. Comfortable working independently, you can manage your time effectively, stay motivated in the field and maintain a high level of accuracy when recording information. Equally, you value being part of a team and enjoy building positive relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
With strong customer service skills, solid computer literacy and a practical approach to problem-solving, you're confident adapting to changing priorities and working both outdoors and in an office environment. A current Class C Driver Licence is essential.
