About the role

Join the City as a Section Leader Planning and Delivery and lead the way in Water and Waste Services. We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to support the Group Leader in establishing a high-performance organisation dedicated to enhancing our community's water and waste management systems. In this pivotal role, you'll manage the Planning and Delivery Section, driving the development of innovative strategies while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards set by the Department of Planning and Environment, NSW Health, and the Environment Protection Authority.

You will play a key part in implementing robust project management principles that effectively balance quality, scope, time, and cost, ultimately boosting productivity and improving outcomes for our community. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, so you'll work closely with various stakeholders, including asset owners, to develop comprehensive asset strategies, manage budgets, and deliver on our capital works program.

If you have engineering experience in successful contract administration, budget management, and asset maintenance, this is the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your leadership skills and inspire a diverse team. About you

  • Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent qualifications acceptable for Professional Membership of Engineers Australia.
  • Significant experience in water and wastewater strategy development and project management.
  • Class C Drivers Licence.
  • National Construction Industry Induction Certificate (White card)
