City of Coffs Harbour (the City) has an exciting opportunity for you to join our organisation as a Brand and Design Officer. In this pivotal role, you will have the chance to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic marketing and communications that bring City services to life. Working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in building awareness of City services and increasing recognition of the City's brand and sub-brands.

As the Brand and Design Officer, you'll be responsible for designing, editing, and finalising a variety of collateral for City communications and marketing initiatives. Using your expertise with creative software suites and working in conjunction with external providers when necessary, you will ensure that every piece of material is visually engaging and effectively communicates the City's messaging. Your keen eye for design will help us produce on-brand materials that are optimised for target audiences, delivered on time and within budget.

In this role, you will showcase your skills in video capture, photography, and image management, sourcing and generating captivating visual content for our social media platforms and communication materials. Your ability to craft and proofread engaging copy will contribute to effective marketing and help us tell our story effectively.

We are looking for a team player with solid organisational and project management skills who can juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a collaborative approach.

About you?

  • Diploma in an appropriate discipline (e.g. Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Communications).
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, including campaign development, delivery and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of brand guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Canva and experience in the development of Canva Brand Kits and Canva Templates.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, with particular emphasis on Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
