About the role
This role provides high-level, executive support to the Mayor and Councillors, contributing to the smooth and professional operation of the Mayor's Office. As part of the Office of the General Manager, you'll work within a dynamic leadership environment focused on strategic governance, financial sustainability and delivering meaningful outcomes for the Coffs Harbour community. Collaboration, discretion, confidentiality, and a commitment to excellence are key as you help uphold the City's values and support its vision for growth and innovation.

About you
You are someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, keeping things organised and making complex days run smoothly.
You may already be working in a role such as: school / education administration, real estate / property administration, executive / personal assistant, office management, health, legal / not-for-profit administration.
Regardless of where you've gained your experience, people know you as someone who:
- stays composed and solutions‑focused when things get busy
- thinks ahead and anticipates needs before they arise
- communicates clearly, professionally and with warmth
- handles sensitive information with absolute discretion
- takes pride in being the trusted, reliable support behind the scenes
You don't need local government experience or a degree to be successful here. What matters most is your professionalism, sound judgement, strong organisational skills and your ability to build positive working relationships.
What's on offer?
- Competitive starting salary around $87,000 (plus 12% super) with additional scope for outstanding candidates
- Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week
