Meter Reader

About the role

The City are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meter Reader to play a vital role in managing and conducting our water meter reading program. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our water meter readings are conducted within strict timelines and recorded with precision, all while maintaining the highest standards of best practice.

You will primarily be out in the field reading water meters and assisting with the maintenance of data within the Council's Usage billing systems. Clerical support will also be required to enable our operations to function at their best. At times, you may deal with enquiries from the public, so a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service is a must.

About you?

  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills.

  • Starting hourly rate from $34.42p/h + 11.5% superannuation.
  • Permanent Part-Time 21 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 35 hours per week.
