Manager Coastal Works

Coffs Harbour, Australia

  • Reporting to the Director of City Infrastructure, this is a key strategic position
  • Permanent, full-time 35-hours per week
  • Attractive salary package of around $160K

Shape the Future of Infrastructure - The City of Coffs Harbour is seeking a Manager Coastal Works to lead our dynamic Construction Business Unit.

This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to deliver major projects, capitalise on commercial opportunities and strengthen client relationships that contribute to the liveability and sustainability of our region.

About the role

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership to the Coastal Works team, delivering a wide range of infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, drainage, water and sewerage networks, as well as precast concrete manufacturing. You'll oversee contracts, budgets and project performance while ensuring works are completed safely, on time and profitably when delivered for commercial clients. A key focus will be building strong client relationships, driving new business opportunities, and supporting innovation and continuous improvement across all services.

About you

We're looking for a results-focused leader with a degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field, along with extensive experience in civil construction and project delivery. You will bring proven commercial expertise in tendering and contract management, a strong record of leading diverse teams, and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
