Council’s Induction program commences on your first day and is presented in stages covering key operational areas & culminating in a morning tea with our Executive staff. Generous financial assistance is available to permanent employees undertaking further study. An in-house training calendar includes IT, legislative, WH&S & much more.
We provide ongoing training & development
As well as providing structured on the job training, we also allow staff time off to undertake external courses. Many courses are fully sponsored by our Council, so our team are not required to pay anything in order to further their education.
Apprenticeships and Traineeships
If you are coming straight from school & are interested in getting a position, you can benefit from one of our apprenticeship & traineeship schemes.
Apprenticeships & traineeships are also available to existing staff & combined with on the job training, we provide structured courses to help you gain certification in your preferred area.
Rostered days off - RDO
All full time staff are entitled to an RDO every four weeks or at the end of 19 working days.
Health & Wellbeing Program
All staff have automatic membership of Councils innovative health and wellbeing program. Subsidies are available on a large variety of sporting and healthly lifestyle activites

We believe that happy staff are productive staff, and happiness starts in the home. Therefore as an organisation we do our best to accommodate the responsibilities that you have outside of the office. This includes having flexible work hours & part time work.
Council has an active Social Club that organises exciting functions throughout the year. Social events include beer & bite nights, trivia nights, annual race day, childrens & adults Christmas parties.
