Professional Ocean Lifeguard (Casual Positions)

Coffs Harbour

Council is currently seeking three (3) qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Professional Ocean Lifeguard. These casual positions will ensure ongoing high standards of Beach Safety and will manage all facets of operations at individual beach locations, including but not limited to the administration of pre-hospital care, signage, surf conditions, marine animals, pollution, cleanliness, public relations, daily administration and education, use and maintenance of equipment, and surveillance.

The Successful Applicants will have a current Australian Professional Ocean Lifeguard Award Level 2 or equivalent and will have the ability to perform and pass all competencies of the course. Applicants must hold a current Nationally recognised First Aid Certificate and a current Working with Children Check.

Salary:

  • Starting salary of $31.67 per hour inclusive of casual loading (Grade TW06.1) + Super.
  • All other conditions of employment will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award 2017.

Additional Requirements:

  • You will be required to undertake Pre Employment Medical Screening and Pre Employment Alcohol & Drug Testing.
  • You must pass Coffs Harbour City Council's physical lifeguard assessment.
