Compliance Officer (Part-Time)
Coffs Harbour City Council is seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Compliance Officer on a part-time fixed term contract until end January 2019.
Reporting to the Compliance Coordinator this position is responsible for undertaking the customer focused delivery of building and development compliance and associated functions, including but not limited to: incident and complaint management, provision of expert advice, assessment and reporting responsibilities within and related to the building and development compliance regulatory framework.
The successful applicant will possess a Degree or equivalent qualification in Building, Planning or a suitably related discipline and a minimum of five (5) years relevant industry experience with demonstrated skills and knowledge in building and/or development compliance, investigation and evidence collection. The successful candidate will also possess demonstrated high level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with developed ability in negotiation and mediation.
What we offer:
- Guaranteed 14 hours per week (days of work Thursday and Friday), with flexibility to work additional hours if required
- Starting hourly rate of $44.01 (Grade 25) + Super with opportunities for progression
- Other conditions as outlined in the NSW Local Government (State) Award 2017
- The successful applicant may be required to undertake Pre Employment Medical Screening and Pre Employment Alcohol & Drug Testing
